Everyone Can Create!
I was inspired in many different ways after reading the Everyone Can Create Teacher Guide and Student Guide. The books provided a variety of different activities in which student can express their creativity. Students of all different learning styles and multiple intelligences could easily express themselves in whichever way they learn best, whether it’s through video, photography, drawing, or music. In each category (video, photography, drawing, music), there are numerous different activities that include step-by-step processes in how to complete them. Each category also informs you on what apps you need to download in order to successfully complete the activities.
In my experience, I chose to explore the Drawing category a little further. I am certainly no artist, but I thought the activities looked entertaining. My examples are very appropriate exemplars for students because it looks like a young student drew them! I downloaded the SketchesSchool app, and followed the steps for each activity. I thought these activities were sweet and simple and would allow students of all ages to be creative in their drawings. Students could integrate these activities into almost any subject. They could create illustrations accompanying a story they wrote, draw the setting of a read-aloud book, or even just draw a relaxing picture when they are feeling overwhelmed. The opportunities are endless! It's true that indeed EVERYONE CAN CREATE!
