Tech Edge: Mobile Learning in the Classroom
Tech Edge is a Youtube channel that provides hundreds of various topics that can be used as resources in the classroom. It is very evident that they are very well educated on the topics that they are discussing. I really enjoyed exploring through the numerous videos and learning about apps that I had previously never heard of before! As a future teacher, I can definitely see myself using these resources in my classroom. It has already given me a ton of ideas about integrating technology into my curriculum. I highly recommend that current and future educators go check out the channel! I guarantee you that you will find a topic that fits into whatever lesson you are currently teaching or are planning to teach in the future!
Play-Doh TouchWhen I was little, I remember all of the exciting memories I had playing with play-doh. This app really sparked my interest, because I know I loved play-doh as a kid, so I can only assume that children today enjoy play-doh as much as I did. I'm also very interested in teaching younger children (K-2), and I can already picture how much my future students will LOVE this app. Play-doh touch allows children to first physically mold their play-doh, and then watch their creations come to life within the app. The app recognizes the creation's features and even gives the creation it's very own voice. I wish we had this kind of technology when I was in grade school! It's awesome stuff! I believe by incorporating this app into my classroom, it can inspire creativity and imagination into my student's minds. It is engaging and encourages the children to keep being creative! Go download the app and begin your creative journey! You're never too old to play with play-doh!

CuriosityI was naturally drawn to the Curiosity app because well, I was curious about it! This app is AWESOME! It provides so many articles and facts that are literally about anything and everything! While browsing through the app, I searched through the learning category of the app which provided some interesting articles about education. It discussed how lack of sleep can highly affect student's learning and how detention should be replaced with meditation. I highly believe that every educator should have this app downloaded. It is a great tool for teachers! There are also hundreds of other categories that teachers could use as resources for a lesson in their curriculum. I believe this app is aimed more for secondary classrooms, but I believe there are certain topics that could be discussed in an elementary setting as well. Curiosity is a great learning tool for teachers and students and I highly recommend you go check it out! You can download the app here.
